Private Maker Bay Agreement
Private Maker Bays are designed for approved members, small businesses, builders, artists, product creators, and production users who need dedicated workspace inside Geaux Cajun IT.
Private Maker Bays are subject to approval, availability, payment status, safety requirements, and compliance with all Geaux Cajun IT policies.
1. Approval Required
Private Maker Bays are not guaranteed and may require an application, interview, deposit, signed agreement, proof of business use, and staff approval.
Geaux Cajun IT may deny applications at its discretion.
2. Use of Space
Private Maker Bays may be used for approved creative, maker, fabrication, business, assembly, storage, and production activities.
The bay may not be used for residential purposes, sleeping, illegal activity, hazardous operations, unapproved manufacturing, food production, chemical storage, or any use that creates safety, odor, fire, noise, insurance, or operational concerns.
3. Monthly Fees
Private Maker Bays are billed monthly. Pricing may vary based on size, access level, location, storage needs, included benefits, and availability.
Late or failed payments may result in suspended access, late fees, removal of property, or termination of the agreement.
4. Deposit
A refundable or non-refundable deposit may be required depending on the space, agreement, and risk level. Deposits may be used to cover damage, cleaning, unpaid fees, lost keys, access devices, or abandoned items.
5. Access
Access may be limited by operating hours, membership type, staffing, safety rules, facility access rules, and any after-hours access approval.
After-hours access, if offered, is a privilege and may be revoked.
6. Storage and Personal Property
Users are responsible for their own tools, equipment, materials, products, inventory, and personal property.
Geaux Cajun IT is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, contaminated, or misplaced items.
Users should not store valuable, hazardous, illegal, perishable, flammable, pressurized, or prohibited items in private bays.
7. Cleanliness and Maintenance
Private bays must be kept clean, safe, organized, and free of blocked walkways, odors, pests, fire risks, spills, excessive dust, or unsafe stacking.
Geaux Cajun IT may require cleanup or charge cleaning fees if a bay becomes unsafe or unprofessional.
8. Tools and Equipment
Private bay users may access shared tools and equipment only according to their membership level, training status, reservation rules, and staff approval.
Private equipment brought into the space may require approval before use.
9. Utilities and Power
Users may not overload outlets, run unauthorized extension cords, install equipment, modify electrical service, or use high-power tools without approval.
10. Commercial Use
Private bays may be used for approved business activity, but users remain responsible for their own permits, licenses, taxes, insurance, product claims, customer relationships, and legal compliance.
11. Insurance
Private bay users are encouraged and may be required to carry business liability insurance, property insurance, or other coverage depending on activity type.
12. Termination
Geaux Cajun IT may terminate a private bay agreement for non-payment, unsafe conduct, policy violation, damage, misuse, unauthorized activity, excessive disruption, or business need.
Users may be required to remove all property by a specified deadline after cancellation or termination.
13. Abandoned Property
Items left after cancellation, termination, non-payment, or move-out deadlines may be considered abandoned and may be moved, stored, discarded, or charged storage fees according to Geaux Cajun IT policy and applicable law.
14. No Transfer
Private Maker Bays may not be subleased, transferred, assigned, shared, or used by others without written approval from Geaux Cajun IT.
