Material Use Policy
Material Use Policy
The materials used in lasers, CNC tools, printers, heat presses, and fabrication equipment directly affect safety, air quality, machine performance, fire risk, and project quality.
This policy applies to all users, members, class participants, private bay users, and customers.
1. Approved Materials Only
Only approved materials may be used with Geaux Cajun IT equipment.
Approval may depend on the machine, material composition, coating, thickness, adhesive, finish, manufacturer, smell, dust, fumes, heat behavior, and safety profile.
2. Unknown Materials Are Not Allowed
If you do not know exactly what a material is, do not cut, engrave, heat, print, press, or machine it.
Staff may reject any material that is unlabeled, unknown, suspicious, damaged, coated, treated, contaminated, or unsafe.
3. Prohibited Materials
The following materials may be prohibited or restricted:
- PVC

4. Customer-Supplied Materials
Customer-supplied materials must be approved before use. Geaux Cajun IT is not responsible for failed cuts, failed engravings, print issues, color variation, warping, burning, melting, cracking, adhesive failure, or damage to customer-supplied materials.
5. Test Cuts and Samples
Test cuts, test engravings, print samples, or small trials may be required before full production.
Users should bring extra material for testing.
6. Material Sales
Geaux Cajun IT may sell approved materials such as plywood, acrylic, blanks, apparel supplies, sublimation items, project kits, and other maker supplies.
Member pricing, discounts, and availability may vary.
7. Storage
